Growing our own organic vegetables on 8,000 m2
Growing our own organic vegetables on 8,000 m2, producing olive oil from our olive groves, is something we are particularly proud of. The olive trees are located on the family land, in the Kitrići microlocation, in the town of Porat, near Malinska on the island of Krk, while one part of the olive trees is planted next to the hotel right by the sea. Currently, there are about 350 olive trees, part of the old inherited olive trees, and most of the olive groves are newly planted olive trees about 20 years ago. The varieties ‘Plominka’, ‘Leccino’, and ‘Pendolino’ produce a rich harvest, the fruits of which are picked by hand and processed immediately on the day of harvest and put together. This premium olive oil has been awarded at many evaluated quality events. At the same time, the gardens contain everything from zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, several types of salad, asparagus, fruit trees… the Mediterranean spectrum of herbs and much more.

Restaurant Villa Margaret and Tavern Bracera bring only the best from the sea to your plate. Namely, most of the fish for the needs of hotel guests and Bracere Inn guests arrive fresh in the kitchens every morning, and the menu is made daily from what is caught. The fish that Ivo Šabalja still goes to catch from the sea every morning arrives at the table within a few hours.
